If you are a member of the
Xbox Preview Program, I recommend you update your Xbox One controller(s) with the latest preview build (OS version > 1502.150120) which provides the following updates:

•Quick Connect – previous controller connections to an Xbox One took 4-5 seconds when powering on a controller, now they should occur in ~2 seconds

•Stability improvements – the firmware also provides a number of fixes that address issues submitted by customers and preview participants

All controllers still reconnecting

The only thing I can think of is if your controllers are updated to the latest firmware? I believe this should have happened automatically when you've connected the USB cable, but see the following link to make sure they are:

Thanks for the heads up. Doing a system update now will do that when it finishes

 

I'll have to update later, though can't say there was a issue with my controller in the first place. Lol.

that's cool they can make it connect even faster now, i'm wondering what the "stability improvements" are, can't say i've noticed any issues with how the controller functions.

 

Me and one or two others in the preview had an issue with the controller not turning the X1 on sometimes, it's probably to do with that.

 

had an issue for the first time last night with my controller disconnecting so hopefully this sorts it.

Life as I know it will never be the same now I have an extra 2 seconds evryday aswell!! Happy days

Has anyone done this update? If so, what are you able to get done in the extra 2-3 seconds you get when connecting now?

 

Mine takes about 2mins (120 seconds) to connect...... if it can whittled down to 118 seconds... woot!

 

Works great for me. My brother and I finished watching a favorite show on the Hulu Plus app and while we were discussing how great it was, we noticed that the next show was about to start - it was a show we did not care for in the slightest. We both screamed
"NO!" as I rushed over grabbed the controller, turned it on, and was able to close Hulu Plus just in the nick of time. Without the update, we would've been left to suffer for an absolutely horrifying and miserable 2 seconds!

 

This has made a big difference actually.

 

Wow huge improvement, liking this new update.

 

I don't recall there ever being a preview program on the X360...
