Xbox Preview Program Question

So I'm already a member of the Xbox Preview Program. I have been since it was available, yet today I get this message from Xbox Live on my One...

Welcome to the Xbox Preview program! To register your console(s), open this message on your Xbox One, install the Xbox Preview Dashboard by selecting 'Launch app', and then 'Get it FREE' from the app details page.

So... does being in the preview program expire after a certain amount of time? Is this a new app? Has anyone else who is already in the program received this message? I'm only a lil confused. lol

Might be an updated app. I honestly don't know. Have you had a look in the preview forums?

Yes it's the new preview app containing mini surveys, problem reporting, announcements etc. A rather cool addition to the preview programme.

Thanks for all the info everyone. I'm on my way to work so really couldn't get on my One to check things out. I guess I'll download it when I get home tonight.

 

I hadn't opened the app since the beta program first launched so I don't know if all this is new or not. But just installed the new app and there is bunch of stuff I have never seen before. You can invite friends directly from the app. There is a "quick
poll" and "announcements" and you can apparently go on quests now....

 

I know the new app came out today. I received a message from Xbox Live and downloaded it directly from there. I just didn't know if all these features were new or only some were new and some were carried over from the old app.

 

The only app I had was the preview app, it had no features apart from invite friends & unregister. Not many users had the feedback app.

The new app seems to be working well apart from the unavailable button on the feedback app download.
