    Xbox Preview Member Issue


    I recently allowed my Xbox to take part in the new dashboard. It was working fine for about 12 hours of gameplay; then, my Xbox crashed, turned off, and now it is prompting me to connect to Xbox Live, but when I test my network it says that everything is
    fine, but I am still not connected to XBL... Do I have to reset my Xbox to factory default? If so, please share what I should to ensure nothing that I cannot re-download gets lost.

    Hi Mikey,

    the main support team are monitoring the forums so once they see this message and verify you are in the preview program they will be able to sort out your forum access.

    Please bear in mind that after checking your post they have to manually make changes - and there are a lot of preview forum requests at the mo - so they will get to you as soon as they can!

    Hi there!

    Just to let you know, this is not the correct place to give feedback regarding the Xbox One Preview Program. Please use the below link to access the private forums.

    The first thing I would try to fix your console is a power cycle. To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds until the console turns off.

    2. Wait for 30 seconds, then disconnect the power from the wall socket.

    3. Wait a further 30 seconds, then reconnect the console and turn it on. It may take a bit longer than usual to start up.

    4. Sign in and you should be good to go.

    If this doesn't work, as I said, make a new post in the private forums where feedback for the preview can be given.

    Happened to me as well. Won't seem to connect me to Xbox live however tests say it's all good. I just a factory reset. This new ui update is way too buggy.

    So after the factory reset it booted up with the new ui still. I just entered my sign in info and it seems to work now.

    Dear all,

    Please make sure you are posting in the private forum for the Xbox Preview Program here: forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx. I will try to answer your questions below individually, but also remember to make a new post if you need support as this makes it easier
    for Xbox Support to track.

    One thing to note, most problems on your Xbox One can be resolved by doing a power cycle. Please see here for the instructions: Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console.

    VertX Effective: Please go into the Preview App on your console, and under "registration", there is the option to opt-out of the program. You will remain part of the program until the next update is released.

    SoFrItO LAY: Glad it's working for you now. Remember that the point of the Xbox Preview Program is to test future dashboard updates, so there are going to be bugs. That's why Xbox ask for your feedback to make improvements.

    T2 NotEffective: Same as above, please go into the Preview App on your console, and under "registration", there is the option to opt-out of the program. You will still remain in the program until the next update is rolled out.

  12. I'm having the same issue as those above. However I can't access the private forum and when I try to go on the Preview app it says "This app is for the Xbox Preview program members only". Please help

    Same issue for me. Don't really want to factory reset and power cycle doesn't solve it. Also, the private link posted above doesn't work........

    Please make sure that you are signed in to the account that is registered with the Preview Program. It sounds like your account does not have permission to access the forum/app, maybe because you registered with a different Gamertag.

  15. Hi I am a xbox preview member and have just done the new dashboard update on my xbox and I am haveing a problem with my controller since I have done this I can not use the home button on my controller to ive go home or to turn my xbox off and this has been
