Xbox preview Alpa I would like to know about openings.

@ phoenix: alright im not trying to compare d**ks on who is a better ac fan, but i own and have played all of them, including the iphone/ ds and psp ones, and they do add to the main altair story ( how he became who he was in the first one). but your very
wrong and i think you might have misunderstood me. the gameplay on assassins creed 1 is very repetitive. undeniable. you get a target. travel to city. visit assassins bureau. go find clues either follow someone pickpocket, eavesdrop or beat up. go back to
bureau and get permission to kill target. it doesnt deviate much from this formula for most of the game, which is why, some people, who are not as immersed into the story as die hard AC fans, find it boring. assassins creed 2 and all the rest of the console
titles have greatly improved gamplay. and IMO ezio is more badA** than altair. ac2 is still my favorite one but well see, ac3 comes out in october.

@ravens fan: if you are curious about the assasins creed titles, the best game to start on would be AC2. you are recapped on what happened to desmond during the first one so its all goood.

it is not repetitive at all. it has a different time period, character and combat system. the story starts to go into the first civilization but that is near the end of the game unfortunately. this game is not like many of the others that are out there.
most games that are out, people buy for the multiplayer like BF and COD. but the best part about AC is that it is more campaign/story based than it is multiplayer based. it has a multiplayer but the story is where the fun is. and even after you get the story
done, you are give an opportunity to get more achievements that were were not able to get in the campaign. after you do the story is basically a free roam of the city where you can buy buildings and help citizens out, that sort of thing. i may be biased when
it comes to this because i am a huge AC fan and i have played all the games (except the one on the PSP and DS. those games are a branch off of Altair and not part of the main story of the console games). i dont think you would be disappointed but everyone
has those points where certain games are just not for them. but just give it a try and see how you like it.

I found AC2 to be a great game and only one of two games I have pushed myself to get all the achievments. In a nutshell the story has advanced to the late 15th and early 16th century Italy with the main character of Ezio Auditore De Firenze. The graphics
are far better than Assassins Creed and combat has been greatly improved. Swords, daggers, throwing knives all make a comeback as well as spears, maces and a gun/pistol.

Missions are varied and do not require you to do investigations before attacking your target, in one level you may be following someone , another you drive a tank and another one you fly in a primitive glider.

The missions system was altered by popular request and there are aproxametly 200 missions in the game with about half of them being relevant to the story line.

Also introduced is a monetery system that allows you to spend money upgrading the citys tailors, blacksmiths etc, the more you upgrade the more you will earn back over time.

It was one of the more enjoyable games of the series and also an important part of the Assassins Creed story arc.

The only bad part about this game, besides two important sequences being available only as DLC, is that it begins the tiring Ezio trilogy. Those who have played this and halfway through Brotherhood know what I mean.. Other than that it's quite possibly the
best AC game so far....still simple yet extremely advanced from the first game. Many weapons and tactics started with this game are still being used in the current games.
