Xbox powers on but nothing works

Ok, since I've gotten my xbox on Black Friday 2 years ago I've been having this one issue. It started out not so bad and now it's to the point that I can't launch anything. Doesnt matter what I do. I've always had an error message saying that the game took
to long to start, originally it was caused when I was installing a game and trying to play at the same time. The issue went away. I bought a WD My Book 4TB from Walmart due to my collection of games and the 500GB internal space that I had to deal with. In
time frame shortly after the release of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare the problem came back. I could open maybe 3-4 apps/ games in one sitting before anything I would try to launch would say it took to long to start. Simple fix do a complete shut off and turn
it back on and repeat. It got to the point were I could only open 1 app or game. after that nothing would launch, not even settings. Then came my flow of support calls to xbox live support which were very helpful. The solutions worked for a little while till
they stopped. I can Factory reset my console and it won't matter. I'm clueless on how to solve this. I can't install certain games. I can't uninstall games. It just acts like I never pressed the uninstall button. Moving games from one place to another takes
ages. I'm lost for some odd reason I'm now stuck with the issue that I have to reconnect my controller every start up. I want to say its a hardware issue.

my x box one was powered on then there was no picture i tried a hard reset ,did not work . controller will not connect i changed hdmi cables and used 2 different ports on my tv

Sorry to hear it. It sounds as though the console is no longer working. If it is an S or E console then you can send it in for a repair.

If it is an older FAT console then I'm afraid that the only recourse you would have is to purchase a new one as the older consoles are no longer being serviced.

Sorry to hear about the frustrations. I can see that you've tried a factory reset in the past. When you did that, did you do the full wipe or did you keep your games and apps? If you did the latter, I recommend doing the factory reset again but this time
doing the full reset. This will give your console the best shot at a clean start and, with luck, will return it to a functioning status.

If that doesn't work, unfortunately it sounds like your console may be in need of repairs. If you'd like to explore that, you can do so via the
Online Service Center.

I doubt it has anything to do with my AV cable because the console acted like it was updating then just powered off on it's own and now it powers on but shows nothing on screen.

Stand av cable that ships with the arcade.

Also does the same thing with my HDMI cable

Fixed the problem the HDD wasn't attached completely apparently, thanks for the suggestions.

hmm looks like the update causes this problem...

I think u should call xbox costumer support.

and send your console to microsoft to repair it.

Maybe some other ambassadors know a manual way.

Hi, check that the av cable is fitted correctly. Maybe try resetting the display settings on the console.

Remove any disc form the console disc drive and power off. Press and hold the guide button on your controller, as soon as you hear the console start to power up let go of the guide button and press and hold down Y and the right trigger. The console should
restart and the display settings are reset.

If that doesn't work then please post a little more information, type of cable used etc.
