Xbox powers off the second I turn it off.

Sorry for my delayed response.

I can understand how frustrating it is. I do think that it is the power supply shorting out the console.

But I could be wrong, so perhaps another member of the community might jump in with another suggestion.

But in case you'd like to replace your power supply, you can do this at most retailers that stock gaming items, game stop and stores like that. You can also purchase a replacement online if that suits you better.

But hopefully someone else has another suggestion before having to replace items.

Sorry to hear of the frustration.

My console did this to me, well very similar. It was working then mid game turned off. Upon trying to turn it back on it would make the power up sound then absolutely nothing. It sounded like despite being plugged in, it had no power. I ended up having to replace the power supply.

It sounds like you might be experiencing the same issue, in regards to the power supply. Is the light on the power supply lightning up at all?

You can try plugging the console into a different plug and see if the console gets any power to it.

It is I plug it in and I hear it boot up like always so that was good and then goes to orange and I click the xbox button and then it clicks and its gone. Ive tried many plugs basement my bedroom all have power. Also thanks for helping.

I get this problem a lot.... after turning off the Xbox, switch off the power at the wall for 5 seconds then turn it back on. That works for me....

Try turning off the xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds and wait around 20 seconds to turn it on.
