Xbox powering off when loading games

Hi

My XBox one keeps switching itself off or returning to home screen when loading either downloaded game or direct from disk.

i have tried:

1) Unplugging for over 1 hour

2) Factory resetting console

3) Cleaning with micro fibre cloth

4) Using compressed air to clear ventilation

5) swapped battery pack for my brothers (his console fine)

Attempts 3 & 4 were after reading many forums with similar issues, although no warning has ever being prompted to confirm a ventilation problem.

Apps are working fine.

Out of ideas. Any clues???

thanks guys, unfortunately that didn't work.

Repair it is then (or launch out of window and buy a new one 😡).

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console.

I would try doing the power cycle like parity said

If that doesn't work you might wanna look into sending the Xbox in for
repairs < Click

Before the console gets thrown out we suggest clearing out the consoles caches since when they get full might cause this type of errors.

How to clear Game Cache on the Xbox One:

Settings

System

Storage

Clear Local Saved Games

Yes and Restart

Also:

To clear the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address)

Settings

Network

Network Settings

Advanced settings

Alternate MAC Address

Clear and restart

IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET no progress or purchase data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps
would be to resync the profile to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

Hi,

I am sorry to hear that, try hard resetting your xbox one by holding down on the power button for 10 seconds.

- When off unplug the power cable and keep off for about 1 to 2 minutes

- Replug the power cable and then turn on the xbox one

- Load up the game and load the save again.
