Xbox Power Supply Solid Orange Light

    Hi,

A few weeks ago my Xbox Power Supply started showing a solid orange light.

When i try to turn my xbox one it turns on for half a second and then automatically off.

The power supply light quickly goes green and then back to solid orange.

Ive looked at youtube videos re wriggling the back a little until you hear a clicking noise. This hasnt worked.

Ive unplugged and left unplugged for an hour in an attempt to reset. Blown out sockets, cleaned dust out from the unit etc etc. This hasnt worked.

I then bought a new power supply from ebay. When i plugged this is the exact same thing happened ie it didnt even work for a 2nd. Just straight away the same issue.

    Any ideas?

    :)

    AC converter issue?

Yes, I understand that, that means that there is an issue with the power supply and it needs to be replaced.

Flashing orange, solid red, or no light: Your power supply may need to be replaced. Try the following solutions:

    1. Try plugging your console’s power supply into a different electrical outlet. Do not use a surge protector.

    2. If the power supply light is solid red or flashing orange, unplug the power supply and let it cool for 30 minutes. Then, plug the power supply back into the outlet.

If your power supply light is still flashing orange, solid red, or unlit, your power supply needs to be replaced.

Usually the power supply will stay orange like you say while your xbox is off, but when you power on the console it should change to green and stay so while your console is powered on. It looks like it is an issue with the console itself reading the power
coming from the power pack (unless you purchased a cheap ebay power supply pack, be wary packs differ due to region electricity and sometimes the knock offs dont hold enough power to kickstart the console). I would make sure first you have a good power pack,
and then send your console in for repair.
