    Xbox power issues.


    Hey Xbox community I need massive assistance.
    My Xbox has been for the past couple of days been powering off on its own after about only an hour or less of gameplay. Some service postings tell me to reset the power supply or to just get a new console(Aiming to do that already). The console doesn't necessarily get hot and it has plenty of space for fresh air. I had a friend tell me to clear caches or cache space and that also worked for a time but now I'm back to square one. The major games I play are the MCC and Destiny(The Vault Edition lol). If anyone has any other bright ideas or even a potential explanation I would greatly appreciate it.

    P.S. This is in regards to an OG 500gb Xbox One so.. It could just be showing its age. (Which is surprising considering the Xbox 360's durability)

    It shows you some error on the screen? did you try to change your console to another location? the console its connected directly to the wall?

    Make sure the xbox is plugged directly in the wall outlet. Switch outlets if possible as well and see if turns on from there.

    If its still not turning on, might wanna consider sending it in for
    repairs    .

    Hey there, sounds like you might be using a surge protector, the console was designed to be plugged directly into the wall as it has a surge protector built into the power supply. We have some info on the

    Xbox One power supply     that can help with this issue, we would recommend plugging the console directly into the wall, then let us know if the behavior continues. However, if you do not wish to do this, unplugging the console when you are done using it won't
    hurt the console any, just make sure you shut it down completely and are not using instant on power mode with the console as this will not allow the console to fully turn off.
