    xbox power button not lighting up even when xbox is on?


    Hello!

    Just got my xbox yesterday, did initial setup and have been playing with no issues. However, the xbox power button will not light up even when the xbox is on. i've tried a power cycle and turned off all room lights in case it is an ambient sensor... is it
    broken?

    Hi, is the Xbox button on the Xbox lighting up white, what colour is the light on the power brick ?

    Could you also try a different HDMI cable as sometimes even though a cable works fine with one device it may not with another. Also double check the HDMI cable is in the HDMI port nearest to the power lead on the Xbox.

    If you're using a power surge protector or power extension lead then please try connecting the Xbox power supply directly to the mains power outlet instead.

    Xbox won't turn on and makes a clicking noise.

    Today I was using my Xbox One and it froze mid-game. It did not turn off when I pressed the power button so I unplugged it. Now it will not even start up. When I press the power button, the light on the console lights up and the light on the power brick
    turns white but it does not actually boot up. It is also making a clicking noise (in the Xbox, not the power brick). Is this recoverable or do I have to get it serviced?

    It seems as it is a broken LED light and since that you did receive it yesterday that it is still under warranty.

    If you did purchase it of a third party website and you do not know if it is still under warranty i'd check with who ever you purchased it from and ask for a receipt if possible.
