    Xbox Power Brick Off


    My XBOX power brick has not been working for a while now. It started out when i unplugged it to move it. When i moved it to a different TV and plugged it in the light was off. I fidgeted with it and it turned orange but as soon as i plugged it back into the xbox it turned off again. I moved it back to the original location and fidgeted with the wires for it to turn orange again and then put it in my xbox but it turned off again so i kept fidgeting and it soon worked. Its worked since then until I moved it again to a different TV and it happened again except this time fidgeting doesnt work and i cant get it back to orange. I think I have a solution to get it to not turn off as soon as it is plugged into the xbox but i cant get it back to the orange to do that. I dont know if that "solution" will even work.

    I have tried power resetting and many other common techniques that are recommended online.

    It is a regular XBOX ONE.

    Is there any fix to this without buying a new one?

    Turn off your Xbox One Via the power button on the console hold it for 10 seconds.

    Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

    Wait at least 30 seconds.

    Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on

    Try clearing the cache with a hard reset as follows:

    Hold the power button for 10 seconds or until it powers off.

    Once the indicator lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick are off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console.

    Wait at least 30 seconds.

    Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on.

    That sounds... odd. The power brick doesn't have an on/off switch and the console's "switch" is really just a power switch relay like a PCs, not an actual power on/off switch.

    The power brick isn't user servicable, like most PC power supplies. I assume you've tried swapping power bricks with a working console to see if the problem is the brick or the console?
