    Xbox power brick blown off.

My Xbox was bought from USA and when I used it in India I forgot to use converter. Our current is 220V and that required by Xbox was nearly 100. When i pluged in it didn't work for sometime and it was showing orange light on the brick. I tried by repluging
it and after sometime it really worked. But suddenly there was smoke coming out of the power brick. At that moment itself we unplugged the power brick. I didn't used it since then. This happened nearly 3 months before.

I want to know if any damage has occurred to my xbox console or its just power brick. I want to know if there is a fuse inside the power brick to stop excess current. I couldn't take it to a Microsoft store because we don't have any near. The nearest one
is in Kochi and l'm living in Thrissur. I cant cant t to kochi because of this pandemic.

Can anyone please help me in tgis problem and tell me what should I do next.

    :)

While there is a fuse in the power brick, that should "sacrifice" itself to prevent damage to the power supply and console, I wouldn't really count on it.

The fuse is not a melting fuse that is replaced, but an electronic fuse that triggers when there is an overcurrent, and should reset itself after you unplugged it for 30 seconds from the wall outlet.

However, since you mentioned smoke, I assume that the 220V outlet fried that fuse, and you now have a permanently damaged power supply, which needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately, Microsoft can't service those original Xbox One consoles anymore, as they don't have the necessary replacement parts anymore.

You could try to buy a third party "Chinese knock off" power supply, which I do NOT recommend, as a lot of people complain about the poor quality of these parts (loud fan, inconsistent startup behavior) etc.

So you're better off buying a new Xbox One S or Xbox One X with a switching internal power supply that can take both 110V from the US as well as 220V from India.

You simply need a fitting power cord.

dependent on stock level too, as the xbox one x and the digital version of the xbox one s are no longer being made, production stopped the other week and stocks were already low.

the only choice would be the s with optical drive and even they are becoming scarce in some areas.
