Xbox, please make our profiles available offline rather than needing internet... thanks

Here is my idea. I have been sitting here trying to sign into my xbox one... but xbox live is having problems which is fair enough, it happens. I have been an xbox customer since at least 2006 so I have experienced plenty of these.

But what I want to know is... why do I need to have an online connection to be able to sign into my gamertag on my xbox one? Why can't they just make it how the 360 is and let us sign into our accounts offline and it lets us play our games whilst they go fix
xbox live? I am sitting here wanting to play games on my xbox one but why should I need to wait for xbox live to be running for me to sign in? Anyone else agree?

Appearing Offline?

The problem is you show as 'offline' rather than 'last seen' so people know you are set to appear offline. This is a big oversight and needs to be fixed.

 

Why the Xbox One Has Lost Its Edge

Regarding the Peer Sharing thing, please allow me to clarify that needing an internet connection to be able to play a game is rather inconvenient. If I wanted to use my console offline and use one of my friend's games, I wouldn't be able to at that point?
I mean, where is the logic in that?

 

To sign into Xbox One offline go to Settings> Network > Go Offline

 

then a restart afterwards usually helps.. it closes the newtwork connection adapter thingy..

 

People really struggle to figure this out I always go to settings when I get a new console to see all the options availible to me, if more people did this they would be aware of this solution...

 

Yea and if you sign in offline you just need to hope when it comes back up that your game saves right with the cloud. If not you could get burnt next time you play. Seen many posts about things like that over the last few months.
