"Xbox, play" command

I have noticed for a while now that this command, "Xbox, play" is, broken in every single app I use. It always says "can't play from here". If I use "Xbox, select" then choose play it works. Did some update change how it process the command directly so as
to make it break in every app? If so, is this ever planned to get fixed? Not sure why a working function had to get tweaked into nothingness.

Ice , go to my games and app , pick settings and go into the kinect section. Think there is 2 options you can do .. 1 is my kinect cant hear me and I have moved my kinect , something like that.

Both of those will give you a different set of things to do to try the setup again

I am not part of the preview program. I am at OS 10.0.10586.1202 still. I have had this problem for some time, I just usually don't post because I figure they would fix it but since they haven't I was curious.

Those are all based around the Kinect not hearing me. It hears me just fine. The problem is that the command does not function. It hears the command and says "can't "Play" from here". That, and the fact that it is across all media apps I use, speaks more
to the way it process the command no longer lining up with how the app expects the command. I can bypass the error by using the "Xbox, select" method, which shows that the overall function of the kinect is fine, but that is cumbersome compared to what once
worked.

 

I am having the same problem. Cannot play or pause.
