    Hi everyone!

    So I need to know the technical specifications of the usb CABLE from the xbox play and charge kit.

    Because I've been using it to charge my phone and i need to know if its too powerful to be charging it? Is it a standard USB-C cable or is it more powerful?

    is the cable that connects the Xbox play & charge kit- official version (battery+cord). Is the charge cable a simple usb to micro usb cable? Thanks for help.

    *I'm in the preview program so my current build is not the same as public but I'm 100% sure that its the xbox charge and play kit cable.

    I have 2 xbox brand charge and play kit cables. When i plug them in, in my current build, my controller stops working entirely but the orange light is charging.

    I have three 15 foot mini USB cables from Ebay and when i plug those in, I have no issues at all.

    Try another cable and comment back please.

    Hi,

    It's NOT a USB C cable. USC C cables are for newer devices, in any case, it wouldn't fit.

    The charging cable the Xbox One uses is a Micro USB.

    Sites like Amazon will tell you what types of devices a Micro USB will charge, as long as you read that you won't buy the wrong cable.

    The cable from the Xbox One Play & Charge kit is a standard MICRO USB cable (not USB-C).

    The cable itself can't be too powerful. It's the host device that "puts the power into the cable".

    But I can assure you: I have charged my phone, my controller and my power bank with that cable without any issues.

    Just beware that your phone has to have a Micro USB connection. If your phone has a USB-C connection, you will need a different cable.

    Yes you should be able to use the cable to charge your phone or transfer data, it's a regular USB cable, so can be used for regular USB cable things.
