Xbox Play Anywhere game doesn't support cloud saves - but that's an integral feature!

So, I sent MS an email apprising them of this situation back in June. I got a response yesterday: this game officially does not support cross-saves, but as an exception to the rule. Copying and pasting here for anyone who is curious:

Thanks for the note about MW5: Merc. With XPA titles it’s always our goal and expectation that they fully support “Cross Save” this is clearly the best player experience. In this particular case, a rare exception was granted. We’ve since added clear messaging on the Store detail page that the title does not support progress synchronization on PC, this should have been clearly designated at launch and will hopefully avoid further confusion for others.



Appreciate your bringing this to our attention and your patience as we engaged with our internal teams and the partner.

Cloud enabled refers to Xcloud game streaming, not cloud saves.

I'll just post a link for the Play Anywhere and for me it does load for mech warrior. I use Firefox as my default browser.

I've noticed before that it can take a few seconds to load when you look for the Play Anywhere games.

nope, they also mentioned last year that cloud storage for saves was to be made free.

It Is the key is that you MUST HAVe.Xbox live gold for cloud saves

On your xbox if you don't have.gold then no cloudsaves would be disabled
