    XBox Play Anywhere, Asked to purchase DLC again, Are DLC licences not shared?


    I purchased the DLC for Bridge Constructor Portal (Portal Proficiency) through my XBox One and can happily play the DLC on said console. However using the XBox 'Play Anywhere' facility through the Xbox Win10 App on my Surface Pro 4, the DLC is still showing
    as available to buy and therefore cannot be accessed.

    I have a record of the DLC purchase tagged to my Microsoft account in January 2020, and am fully logged in with both game and app updated.

    I have no other 'Play Anywhere' games with DLC to compare against, but are DLC licences not shared between XBox and PC in the same way other Games/Media/Apps are?

    The game and DLC are not Xbox Play Anywhere, so if you want to play the DLC on the PC, you will have to purchase it again.

    DLC licences can not be moved between different LIVE accounts, they are tied to the account that purchased them. Licence transfer's are not there so we can share the licences. just to move the licence to a new console when an old one breaks, for example.

    So it seems your brother will need to purchase a Call of Duty season pass for his own account, if he can not access the DLC as it is now..

    The game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so you will have to purchase the DLC again for the PC version.

    No, the game is not an Xbox Play Anywhere game, so to play the game, and DLC on PC, you would have to purchase them again.
