Xbox phone app Android S8+ starting partys issue

When I go to start party I get this error

Something went wrong, try again later (error code -1)

When I start a party it says connecting for about 5 seconds and then closes the party and returns to the phone apps home screen. when i try to join my friends party it joins, says i am connecting but everyone disconnected. shortly after it then does the
exact same thing but crashes the party for all my friends inside of it.

any help would be appreciated, when i go to type this error code on google, nothing comes up and i mean literary nothing.

please help or at least tell me what error code -1 is a reference to so that i might fix the issue.

Things i have tryed

-reinstalling

-clearing cache/data

-giving my account to a friend to confirm its not my profile and it isn't

-trying to start a party on my friends account

-giving all permissions

There is literally nothing on the web about this error cok de.

Could this just mean the ppl arty systems not supported by my phones?

There has to be a reason behind this error

Even a mobile phone with either iOS or Android. I use an android device and have the MS Office apps on my phone. Have used Word on the fly, so deffo an option to add to the list

Absolutely, although I've found them difficult to work with on the phone.

My Samsung S8 phone and my Galaxy Tab 4 running android have a feature called DEX. I plug the phone or tablet into a mini docking station with HDMI and my phone or tablet go into a PC like desktop mode on my TV with full mouse and keyboard support. Something
you can't do on an iPhone or iPad though.

The party system needs work for sure, if I join a party on the console, it wont show on my android app (on my phone), nor does it recognize I'm even in a party, and vise versa if I join a party via my android app.

Can you join a party via the companion app and see if that does anything?

Try it just like it says in this
link. I just tried it on an S8 and had no issue.
