Not all 3.5mm audio jacks are made to the same standard. There are two audio jack standards:

Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), and

Open Mobile Terminal Platform (OMTP)

Then you can test, on the Xbox messages part, record a voice message, and before sending it to a friend, play the message and see if you can hear it through the headset.

i now have a wired controller from the brand PDP for the xbox, and there my headset works perfect

and on the 2 original wireles controllers not

Was your old controller also a PDP one? Least I assume your Wired Purple one is a PDP model?

Some headsets can have issues if they are plugged into a wired controller, most notably Turtle Beach Recon ones
