xbox pc beta os drive failed and now xbox beta cannot pickup my game files

Unfortunately, the information about the games location was stored on the old drive and for the OS to be able to locate them you will need to install them again so the location can be re-registered.

that's pretty sad, and maybe something that needs to be looked at, my other game services don't have the same issue, and were able to pick up the previously installed games. I figured as the xbox service only allows me to choose a drive and not a folder
it would have no issues finding them.

you will have to reformat it on the pc for use on pc.

on the xbox if you format for games and apps then it formats the drive to only work with xbox so you cannot access the game files etc.

you can format the drive on xbox for clips and screenshots which means it will still pickup on pc.

Xbox Series S , I am on the Xbox Insider Preview Beta OS, I havent tried to relink, that isnt the issue. I have already done all the steps, its an issue with the discord integration and blocking audio/microphone pickup

In my first startup, I chose to save the Gears 3 game files to my hard drive while my beta save was on a flash drive, and I did not get the unlocks from the beta. When I moved the beta save file to the hard drive, it unlocked all of my beta stuff when I
restarted Gears.
