    Xbox PC Beta app - game doesn't appear on sidebar anymore


    Installed Gears 5 but couldn't even get it to run as when I clicked play, it would show a pop up message about a program needing permission, I clicked yes but nothing happened. Tried repairing the game and now it has been removed from the sidebar. When I
    search it up on the store, it says "Install" instead of "Play". When I click install, it finishes instantly but still says "Install". Game doesn't appear in Apps and Features so can't uninstall it there. Went into the WindowsApps folder and tried deleting
    the game from there but says I need permission from myself. Tried doing it in Safe Mode but I get error 0x80070780.

    Any help is appreciated. Don't really want 70gb just sitting there doing nothing.

    I have exactly the same problem with my xbox pc beta, I have installed shadow warrior 2 included in my game pass then it started once, it didn't recognize the Microsoft xbox controller, the game crashed after a minute and since then it can't be installed
    at all, starts installing and immediately tells me it's installed but I can't start it and it doesn't show up in the installed games.

    It appears that the game bar is looking for the app on your PC. It doesn't go to cloud gaming anymore. I hope it is a bug in the Game Bar/Xbox app/

    I don't think you actually need the Xbox beta app to launch any game? The app is useful for checking the Xbox Game Pass for PC catalog, but you can also download any games via the Microsoft Store without the Xbox beta app. And the app doesn't need to run
    in the background when you're playing Microsoft Store games on your PC
