    Xbox (Beta) app v1908.1001.8.0

    Win10 v1903 (Build 18362.295)

    Controller connected wirelessly & via play & charge:

    Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows v2.1.0.1349

    Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit v10.0.18362.1

    Controller works in games not installed via Xbox (beta) as expected, but
    does not work in any game installed through Xbox (beta) store.

    Thanks for the fast reply but this did not help me with my problem. except from the xbox beta app i have no problems playing games with my wireless xbox 360 controller on my win 10 pc. i would consider buying an xbox one controller if that would solve
    the problem. does the xbox beta app (game pass for win 10) support the xbox 360 controller normally?

    sorry to hear but I have the same problem here.

    But just as I understood the controller compatibility, a XBOX One game does not work with a 360 controller on the PC, so I change accordingly.

    Unfortunately, I don't have an official statement for this but I hope this helps to answer your question.

    Is the controller a wireless controller or wired? If it is wireless, how are you connecting it? If by using the play & charge kit, then the Xbox 360 controller will not work, as the cable is only recognized on PC for charging only. You need to use a Xbox
    360 Wireless adapter for PC to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

    If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.
