    Xbox pc app won't load


    Hello,

    As per subject, the Xbox app on pc simply fails to load. The window opens up with the Xbox logo in the middle flashing for a couple of seconds, then shuts down immediately. I can still launch games from the Start menu, however it's impossible to open the app.

    I've already tried to run get-appxpackage *Microsoft.XboxApp* | remove-appxpackage in the PowerShell as well as clearing all my temporary files. Uninstalling and reinstalling also didn't help.

    I did find a second part to this (which might have been the original cause).

    Once in I was in, I was unable to sign in, long story short I have multiple Microsoft accounts registered and had accidently set my non regular account to always sign in. Each time I opened the app it was in conflict.

    To fix this, I went into Accounts > Email & Accounts > and removed the accounts from under "Accounts used by other apps". Opened up the affected apps again (xbox app in my case) and it prompted Sign in in and it has worked fine ever since.

    Having the same exact issue, just started happening out of the blue. Not sure a recent update has caused it.

    * ran the troubleshooter and it stated the apps require UAC to be enabled. Let the troubleshooter turn it on, rebooted the computer and its working again.
    Dude, I've been fighting this for weeks now. I also ran the troubleshooter early on and saw a UAC message but disregarded it since I've always had UAC disabled. Your comment is the only one I've seen mention UAC so I thought and said to myself "what the heck, I'll try it". IT WORKED!

    I still can't believe it! Whomever decided UAC was now a requirement for the xbox pc app to run is a bunch of words I can't type here, no other app I have tried has required this.
