Xbox PC App - unable to install games

Hi

I'm trying to install some games via the xbox game pass. I've used it for a while now with no problems at all, but recently (the past few weeks), when I've attempted to install some new games, I get an error code 0x8007001f.

I've had problems with Tropico 6, The Ascent and Omno. Yet Fallout 76 installed just fine after this error code started to appear? So I'm not really sure what's causing it. The download works just fine, and when it gets too 100% the error appears and the game doesn't install.

I've had a lil look online, and I've followed the Xbox recommended steps, not worked, and my copy of windows is pretty much a fresh install and I've no problems with my audio drivers either.

The only thing that I've changed recently is that I've installed a new GPU, CPU and MoBo. But I can't see how this would effect it.

I'm a bit annoyed that I can't access something that I pay for and there seems to be no obvious solution!

Xbox! Please help!

The only game I really care about (Age of Empires IV) comes out soon and I've been waiting for it for years! Fingers crossed the pre-install works as it didn't for Omno.

Apologies that you are facing this issue. This error code appears when the installation got corrupted. However, I would suggest few solutions below. Please give it a try and let us know the results!

Solution 1: Restart your computer and try to download the app again.

If issue persist, check for updates and install any available updates.
-Press Windows key + X
-Go to Settings
-Click Update and Security
-Check for Updates and Download them to keep your device up to date.

Solution 2: A clean boot

To perform a clean boot procedure on your windows 10 for this, follow the instructions given by Microsoft provided in the link below.

Solution 3: Update your PC version:

Check for any updates on your Windows firmware version as it can be outdated and should be updated to the latest patch to run the game properly. Sometimes, Windows security patch updates can also ruin the game files for some reason which can be fixed by uninstalling the recently installed updates manually from the ‘Windows Updates’ option.

Once the update are installed try to check the game.

I ask that before trying any solution make sure your windows are updated to the latest version, at the moment it is 21H1, to make sure that go to your settings>system>about

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

I can confirm I'm having the exact same issue. I can install and play other Game Pass games, but am specifically unable to install Slay the Spire.

Interestingly enough the Xbox for PC app seems to think the game is already installed on my computer as it displays in my game list within the app (left hand navigation pane). Though, if I hit "Play" nothing happens.

I've restarted my PC.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Xbox app.

I've tried clicking the "uninstall" option presented to me (since the app thinks it's already there).

None of these are working

sorry for replying to a relatively dead thread but do you know if this is a problem unique to xbox app on the pc or will i be unable to install sunbreak on my console?

If you're unable to install the game using the installer downloaded from the official game website, please try installing it through the Xbox App on your PC:

Open the Xbox App, and in the search bar, type "Minecraft Launcher" to see if it allows you to install it that way.
