Xbox PC app not allowing me use higher than 1080 resolutions

thank u. i heard when higher-than-720 games are announced, there is always big news saying resolution's 1080 or 768... i saw the web and it's far not complete. i don't know if there's a complete list of higher-than-720 disc games...?

There is no point in having stunning detail if it looks as if the screen has a light coat of grease on it.

Higher resolution and lower graphics detail will look better than lower resolution and higher graphics detail.

All gamerpics on Xbox One need to be HD cropped to a square, hitting at least 1080 x 1080 resolution. You can resize any picture easily using a free app on PC and mobile devices called Polarr.

Ok the last Xbox was acompromisehine sometimes dipping below for cod etc but this is a generation on now guys

And tv's are getting bigger resolutions are getting higher facts !

Bf4 for example benefits greatly fbest higher resolutions not only for far of building clarity but being able to aim properly on a far off target .......

I for one have a 1080p tv and expect 1080 resolutions for best results but sadly I love Xbox .....

There should not be a comprimise we did that last generation for long enough ....

I know if I bought a pc I could achieve 1080 /60fps all day but it's a more time consuming way to game not at all a level playing field!

I have no problem answering that. Thank you for asking the question. To respond I will again draw to the 1080 vs 1080ti comparison. Given you own a high spec gaming PC I'm sure you'll be able to understand.

A GTX 1080 has 8gb of DDR5x RAM. The 1080ti has 11gb of DDR5x RAM. The latter has more RAM and can run games at a higher frame rate at higher resolutions. Yet at their heart both cards are still the same beast, they are still a 1080. The one is just a better
version of a 1080.

The same is true for the Xbox One X. Yes it has more RAM and a overclocked processor, yet at its heart it is still an Xbox One, it's just a better version of the Xbox One. Just like the Xbox One S is a slightly better version of the original Xbox One.
