Xbox PC app, games don't launch

Hi,

So I've tried out Xbox Game Pass for PC for about a week now. The first two days it worked super well, but since then whenever I press the launch button on a game I've installed, nothing happens. It's like a dead button, no process is starting or anything. What I've found works as a workaround is to restart my PC, but it really doesn't feel like a solution as I have to restart my PC every time I want to launch a game.

I've looked at forums and youtube videos trying to find a fix for it but nothing seems to work.

Some things I've tried are:
- Make sure I'm logged into the correct account both on the Xbox app and Microsoft store.
- Changed date/time settings in Windows so it's automatically updated.

- Repairing the Xbox app.

- Launching the Xbox app as administrator.

- Launching the game manually as administrator.

And I'm sure I've tried some other things too, but so far no luck.

Any help is appreciated

i have done everything asked still not working not great cant play anything ave paid for this service

Any update? It appears the only workaround is creating a new local account and playing from that, which worked for me, but I'd have to redownload each game.

In a weird way I'm a bit happy that I'm not alone in having this issue. It seems to be very rare though, just based off my google searches.

Try reinstalling the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10 device:

- Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

- In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

- In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

- Install the app on that page, and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

- Restart your device, and try to install the game again.

If the above fails, go below and delete both keys and reboot.

The problem is not installing games, the problem is launching them after the computer has been turned on for several hours. Always works directly after a computer reboot.

That said, I tried your steps and it didn't seem to work. However, I haven't tried the last thing you wrote "If the above fails...". I can't seem to find those locations on my PC; "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices" and "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet"

Any other ideas?
