    Xbox PC App: Cannot install or update any games.


    Games and updates instantly stop and don't give any errors. Uninstalling, "repairing", and resetting the app didn't do anything. It literally refuses to do really anything.

    open the windows store and do the updates from there, the xbox app is just a front end all the updates and downloads are done from the store.

    Seems like Gears 5 needs to be installed using the Xbox PC Beta App. Please check if your Windows 10 is version 1903 or not. If it is an earlier build the Xbox App does not seem to install. i have this problem with my Surface Book 2 which cannot update to
    1903 due to an issue with that build and the surface line. This means i cannot install the Xbox PC app, and as a result i cannot install Gears 5.

    The store on a regular computer links to your Xbox App on PC which shoudl allow you to install it.

    Same Issue. The xbox app stopped installing updates and does not check updates automatically. What is even more annoying is the Microsoft store app can install updates but it cannot check for them. What is wrong xbox platform on pc?

    And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

    This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

    Just bought my first PC in years, with Windows 11 and I am having the exact same problem - cannot install any GamePass Games via the Xbox App and I have made sure everything is activated, updated and tried all steps except the step that requires a fresh install of the OS because even though its a brand new PC I have already spent the last 24 hours installing and configuring all sorts of software with no issues and I cannot justify undoing all of that just because Xbox App is not playing ball.
