Xbox Pass Code Not Valid

So I've just tried to login online with my Xbox 360 to play some GTAV... when I go to enter my Xbox Live Pass Code and I enter the same code I've used for the last 5 years, I receive a error message with the following: "The pass code you entered is not valid.
Would you like to try again?'

As I've said, I've used the same code for years... Even last night I was online no problem. Now... can't get in at all. Can anyone please give me some advice as to this problem and how I can go about fixing this? Thanks in advance.

How to control access to your Xbox LIVE account

It is possible to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE account by using a pass code, or making it necessary to sign into your Xbox profile using your Microsoft account password.

Set a pass code

A pass code is a button sequence on your controller, which you can use to restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have set the pass code, anyone who wants to sign into Xbox LIVE using your profile must enter the pass code.

Steps to follow

1) Under Settings, select Account

2) Go to Account Security, and then select Pass Code

3) Enter your four-button code on your controller. You can use the directional pads, the triggers, the bumpers, X and Y.

4) Re-enter your pass code for confirmation

The next time you sign in with your Xbox LIVE gamertag, you will be required to enter the pass code.

If you want to change or reset your pass code, just repeat the above steps. You will be required to enter the old pass code before you can change it.

Hmm... seems to have reset itself and it works now. Weird.... Apologies, this thread can be closed.

 

Sorry for triple posts... but I thought this was fixed... when it's not. I'm still getting this error...

 

Ive got the same issue. tried resetting but even new pass code doesnt work. search in support for "the pass code you entered is not valid" returns 0 results.

 

For future reference it would be better to create a new thread instead of bumping older ones. In the meantime please give phone support a call and they can walk you through the reset procedure for the family passcode. 1-800-469-9269 in North America
