Xbox Party Stopped Hearing me

I was playing Neverwinter two days ago and in a party chatting. Suddenly my mic cut out. I have tried multiple mics on multiple controllers, and reset my xbox, and nothing has worked. I was searching the forums and it appears this problem is 3 years old
with no actual solution. Please tell me I'm incorrect.

People should be using there Microphones on Xbox Live

I miss those days as well. In my opinion party chat ruined Live and that is when I basically stopped mp. I loved hearing smack talk.

Using kinect for voice and stereo headset at the same time

Hey guys,

Just moved to Peru a few weeks ago, brought along my Xbox One.

Stereo headset i have has stopped working (right headphone stopped working and mic)

Is it possible to use the headset for sound from party chat and the kinect for voice at the same time? I would like to avoid hearing party chat over the tv. I've tried just plugging it in and when it's plugged in the kinect stops picking up my voice.

Follow up: I was playing Destiny 2 last night and the in-game chat worked. So it's just the party chat...

@cammers not for me, it just stops me hearing ppl talking and they can't hear me, Iset to party chat and change it back to party chat and alls well, but it happens a lot.

There are 2 standards for 3.5 mm headphone jacks, called OMTP and CTIA. On both standards, the microphone and ground connectors are reversed. So if you use an OMTP compliant headset on the Xbox, the microphone is "talking" to the ground connector of the
controller, while the console is "listening" for the microphone on a silent ground pin.

Please try the following: Open up the messaging tab on your console, and compose a message, but instead of typing text, press the Microphone icon, and try to record a message.

If you are able to pre-listen to your message before sending it, you being unable to talk in a party is a network issue.

If the console doesn't record your voice message at all, and all you hear is silence, then your 3.5 mm headset is probably incompatible.

You can try to buy a CTIA to OMTP adapter (or vice versa, as these adapters just reverse both connectors, they work both ways). That adapter can be found online or in any cellphone stores. Since the only purpose is to reverse two connectors, these cables
are dirt cheap, and if a store wants more than the price of a coffee-to-go for that cable, you're being ripped off.
