Xbox party network error (network settings are blocking party chat)

Hey so I was able to connect to the party like half hour ago , I had turned off my console and tried to connect again and got the message "your network settings are blocking party chat" [0x89231806] I have tried just about everything you can look up or think
about and still no luck,disappointing but I wI'll keep trying stuff if anyone has a solution or any ideas it would be aprieciated

Can you please fix the party chat keep getting error message 'Your network settings are blocking party chat' was working fine before xbox live went down.

When I join my own party or anyone else's I get the error your network settings are blocking party chat 0x89234013

 

I'm having the same exact issue! I haven't found anything that helps.

 

Yeah I am having the same issue. I have tried everything but it still does not want to work.

 

I have had the same issue and it's really frustrating, I haven't been able to join or host a party since the update. I hope it gets fixed soon

 

I've had the same issue tried all troubleshooting step and no lucky only had this problem since the new update

 

I had this problem with the preview dashboard and had to do a full system reboot. Worst part is they knew this was a problem and released the new (not as functional) experience anyway. Everyone that complained about this on the preview forums was bashed
for complaining about the preview dashboard and were told it'd get fixed with the main update. Sad they release unfinished/untested products time and time again.

Having this issue as well. Glad to see it's not just me, though frustrating as hell that they would release such an unfinished product.

 

I have found the issue that is making this happen. It is the xbox not thinking it has the update when it actually does. Unfortunately I have no idea of how to fix it,but just to let everyone know this may be the issue. This is the issue for me at least.

 

Honestly I liked the older dashboard better it was extremely simple

 

I to have have this problem and support is no help all they do is say reset ya Xbox

 

I just did a full system restore to solve this issue and it still hasn't done anything. It still has the same issues, this is some serious bull. I can't even play online

 

Most of the current xbox problems are related to the router imo , not sure why , maybe the traffic pattern changed , port protocol , idk...people with better , gaming style router have been mostly unaffected while people with isp "gateways" have been dropping
like flys ....the "connecting to xbox live " forum is full of them , probably the same issue here...
