Xbox party muting pc

Whenever i join a party using the xbox game bar on pc, it mutes everything on my pc including the party.

May I know if you enabled your privacy settings to be able to join parties and clubs?

Do you know if your friends on the party can hear you? All your friends are muted?

Thanks for sharing this. And so all your friends are muted (you cannot hear them) but they can hear you, right?

Would you please follow Dr Swank's steps here to see if this is just a configuration sync issue?

I can join parties and clubs + my friends can hear me.

the double audio im hearing is coming from the companion app on my pc that im using to stream from my xbox. its not from streamlabs. im getting the audio from my xbox and my pc via the companion app. but im using the companion app to use party chat to
talk. so i cannot mute it because it then mutes the party chat audio and im not able to hear my party.

if you are using game bar sometimes it will do that when the bar is closed while playing a game or doing anything else. i think your best bet for a party would be to use xbox console companion. i have yet to have a problem with party chats when using that.
