    Have exhausted everything wondering if anyone has anything else to suggest??

    Son has Xbox one S with Turtle beach stealth 600 headset, recently been complaining his mates cant hear him in party or game chat.

    The headset is 2yrs old and a bit battered so assumed it was that and got him a new one same Turtle beach, 2nd gen.

    Paired it up but still the same no chat, but he can issue voice commands to the console and do things like voice search on you tube etc so the mic is working and communicating with the console ok, but it just doesn't want to work in chat.

    There is no mute icon on screen. He can join party chat etc and can hear them but they never hear him.

    Have rebooted router multiple times,

    DMZ off, port forwarding off, UPNP on,

    checked privacy in settings all set to allow/everyone etc,

    NAT is open,

    tried wired and wifi,

    ran all network/multiplayer tests in settings, all ok,

    updated controller firmware,

    updated headset firmware,

    controller is assigned to his profile

    it all worked fine for years it just seems to have suddenly stopped...

    we just cannot get any chat to work on either headset.

    Any other suggestions welcome!!

    Kinect

    I use Kinect as a mic for Ghosts but it has very big limitations. The Kinect in general has a setting that allows it to pick up your voice and use it as a mic if no mic is plugged in. This works on several games but not Ghosts. Ghosts does not recognize
    the Xbones mic and will not try to use it. So you can use the mic to chat, but only if you are in a party. You can host a party switch to game chat and nothing will happen, it will not recognize the mic. But if you stick with party chat in a gamemode that
    allows you to play with party chat, then you can chat with your party, but you will never be able to chat with the lobby using the Kinect in Ghosts, at least as of now and the current updates.

    So there you have it, Use the Kinect for friends in a party, but no Kinect for game chat in ghosts. So looking forward to the adapter when it comes out for my headset.

    Mic not working in the xbox app and in party chat while streaming

    Same problem here. I've tried my Logitech wireless headset as well as a USB headset. Both work fine in Windows apps, but no mic on Xbox Streaming for game chat, voice messages, or parties. It does seem to work in the Xbox app Parties though.

    If you are not using a kinect as a mic party chat will not reduce game sound, you then have power of voice volume through mic and game volume through television.

    I think this is happening to me. I found a fix for it. Question, do you turn your Xbox one on with voice?

    Me, whenever I turn my xbox one on with voice and then turn my controller on to start or join a party, my mic/headset does not work. However when I turn the xbox on with the controller and then start or join a party, my mic/headset works.

    Yes my kinetic chat is turned off..

    I have an issue with in-game chats, It's not working for any game!

    Xbox party and Quarrel is working and for now I have to use this 2 solutions to chat in-game with friends.

    How do I fix this issue? It's frustrating that all the in-game voice chats are not working.

    All my settings are OK.

    My Headphones are OK.

    Internet connection and NAT is OK.

    Everything is OK!

    This randomly started from yesterday! 2 days ago was all good. I really can't figure out how to solve this.
