    Xbox Party Chat


    About 2 days ago I invited my friend to a party and I disconnected when he joined and got an error that said, "To chat in the party, you'll need to make some changes to your network. For more info....." When I go to my network settings and even some privacy
    settings everything looks good. That same day, I'm able to host an xbox party and invite a different friend, and I can talk to him just fine. Today, this different friend, is giving me the same error. It does not make sense. I've had both ends check NAT types,
    held the power button for 10 seconds, and tried to have them host the party, but nothing works. Can anyone explain? Error Code is: [0x89231906]

    FIX NEEDED. Game chat is not working in fortnite. xbox part chat works fine

    Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again

    If you are in an Xbox Party chat and everyone leaves you will remain in the Party Chat as the host, you will need to manually leave the party chat .

    what sometimes can fix it is if you start an xbox party then go on to fortnite and then go on to your friends list then tap Y to go on to audio settings and turn voice channel on to game or party chat not xbox party chat then click on xbox party chat game
    chat again and it should be fixed

    You may have been in game chat while you where in an Xbox Live Party. Check the features in your party settings to make sure you are in Xbox Live Party chat and not in game chat.

    I play SQDM with mic, but in party chat only with my buddy

    (actually not "party chat", but there is a setting in Xbox for chatting with friends only)
