Xbox party chat, Issues with connecting to certain people.

I have a problem when trying to join or invite certain friends into a party chat. When I send or receive an invite with this particular friend I will be prompted that he is trying to connect for a long period of time before eventually it will say he is disconnected
and I have an error code saying I have a problem with my network settings. The same goes for him when he sends me an invite. We both hard reset our Xbox and routers and there has been times where it would eventually let us connect and chat as normal. It's
rare but it can work however after hours of trying it's not worth the effort.

Now just to help understand my situation a little better.

This has just recently started happening. We have been able to chat with no problems for 14 years.

When trying to chat in-game he can hear me fine but his chat breaks up constantly to the point of it being uncomprehensive.

We both have OPEN nat types.

We both have new headsets.

We both have no problems chatting with other people but if were both in a party with others we CANNOT communicate.

We both have relatively new routers ( about a year or so old ) and they are both Xbox live compatible. We have been able to chat with our current network setup in the past.

We both have the same ISP and both have the same internet package. 300Mbps

WE HAVE UNPLUGGED BOTH THE XBOX AND ROUTER. That is not going to fix this problem.

We have been fighting this issue for months and cannot get any help from anywhere. We searched the internet, called customer support, and discussed the problem with anyone who will listen and nothing has worked. Sorry for the giant post but I needed to be
as detailed as I could. Thank you so much for any help.

Xbox one mic not working

since yesterday myself and friends have been having issues with the party chat. Two things are happening, 1. everybody can only hear certain people, 2. Chat is all jarbled up and sounds robotic. Only way to fix is to hard reset the xbox. This has to
be an issue on microsofts side as they party chat has been having issues for the past week or so.

 

Party Chat Issues

My friends and I have been having constant issues with Xbox party chat...we get “network settings are blocking party chat” errors but it only happens when certain people are online. For example when there are five of us trying to chat together. If I try
to join the party and one specific friend is in the party it says my network setting block party chat however if that friend leaves the party then there are no issues. This happens with random pairs in our group of friends. We have all tried the different

you try to power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation
loading screen when you power it back up.

 

Unfortunately we have tried this and many variations of this such as hard reset along with unplugging the xbox completely for 5 minutes or longer while we rebooted the routers, we've tried turning off the xbox from the controller, tried going to offline
mode in the settings and turning it back on after a few minutes. Just a few examples. I'm at a loss of ideas now. I appreciate any replies regarding this.

I appreciate your response but this did not fix my problem. I have seen other people have this problem by searching Google for a solution so I know it's not just me, but there doesn't seem to be a fix. I'm really hoping somebody who knows what's happening
will cross this thread and show me a solution. Thanks again to anyone who replies. I appreciate y'alls time.

 

Hi Lobz,

I would like to recommend trying to join the party again then quitting or leaving the party. Others have had similar issues and this seemed to help. It seemed like it was a glitch. Also, if it shows another party that the profile had joined, then try to
leave that party as well.
