    Xbox party chat for Windows 10 issues


    I'm having trouble using party chat on windows 10 to communicate with my friends on the xbox one, cross platform. My headset is brand new and works flawlessly on all other platforms but when I join up a party my friends get bombarded with loud, white noise
    and I cannot figure out what the deal is. I checked the settings, and I also swapped out multiple headsets. Wondering if I could get some assistance on this issue

    Error code: 0x89231806 Blocking Party chat

    Hey, all. For folks hitting this issue on the Xbox App on Windows 10, please try the steps listed here:

    support.xbox.com/.../troubleshoot-party-chat

    Through our investigations we've found a few different issues that tend to pop up on Windows 10 devices with regarding Party Chat:

    1. Teredo adapter not functioning normally.

    2. Windows Firewall being shut down (sometimes by third party security software), blocking Teredo connectivity.

    3. Third party security software blocking Teredo connectivity.

    The steps in the link above walk through some workarounds for the most common scenarios we've encountered.

    Usb Headsets and microphones...

    USB headsets are not compatible with an Xbox one, and so far there is no software to fix this issue. If you are looking to use the headset for chatting purposes only you can download the xbox app on windows 10, often it is pre-installed on windows 10
    pcs. With the xbox app you can create a party and invite your friend(s), the party will have voice chat.
