    Xbox Party Chat Errors


    Hi there,

    I’ve been having some ongoing issues with parties on Xbox. I have an Xbox One S and had been using party chat fine until the past 6 months or so when I began to encounter issues when joining parties with other specific people. The same issues would occur
    when these people would join parties I was in as well. Beneath my gamertag in the party it just says ‘connecting’ and the other user who seems to be causing the issue also has connecting underneath as well. What is strange about the issue is that it only occurs
    with certain users, with 90% of parties i join working fine. It seems to be a small group

    of accounts that cause this issue, however i haven’t been able been able to resolve it. I’ve cleared MAC cache, and also performed power resets as well. It becomes quite frustrating as the issue essentially corrupts the party, and means i cant talk or hear
    anyone. I’m hoping there may be a possible resolution that doesn’t involve a factory reset, or the issue is perhaps caused by my account itself.

    Connecting to party issues

    In the case of "Fear The Doctor" above... this isn't a Party Chat error like the OP is having.

    You simply have to push the Menu button and select "Party Chat" because for some reason on rare occasions it puts you in a party but not in party chat.

    We understand that there is an issue with being able to add multiple users to a party chat or chat.

    Our suggestion here is to follow our Xbox App Networking Troubleshooter article, as most chat errors or rather not
    being able to connect in chat is caused by network errors.
