    Hi everyone,

    Is the Xbox party chat peer to peer p2p? Checking for safety, to see if IP addresses be easily found.

    I saw on this article stating that xbox party chat is still p2p and not on dedicated servers. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/xbox-360/xbox-live/xbox-live-party-help

    While some games do not have dedicated servers, there are still servers in place, otherwise how would you be matched with other players? They also track your progress in the game.

    Most subscribers play multiple types of online games, most of which now have dedicated servers. This is what you're paying for.
    Matchmaking is an excellent example of a service. Thanks for that info.

    Also, things like achievements (as you mentioned) and game saves are stored on the Xbox servers.
    What would I do without my game saves. Thats quite important. Thanks for the info.
