XBox Ower A Wired Enhanced Controller

Are you trying to use this controller on Xbox?
If yes, what do you mean exactly by "step-by-step on how to install"?

I ask this because if you want to use this controller on Xbox you only need to connect it to a USB port on the console.
If you want to use it on PC, the steps are basically the same (Connect it via USB and the PC is going to install the drivers)

The controller is wired. I'd rather not use Edge. It's an enhanced xbox PowerA controller

The controller has a detachable usb cable.

I tried the same usb cable with another Xbox One controller and i still got disconnected with movement of the cable. I wanted to test the Enhanced Wired Controller with another usb cable but i dont have any others that fit as the controller has a slightly
different port for the cable.

I haven't used the devices myself, but there are a few things I would recommend trying.

I'd first take a look at the PowerA support site, and see if there are forms, FAQ, or support channels there that might be able to help. They'll be more focused on the specific product there, and might be able to offer more targeted support.

In addition to that, I'd check if you get the same result on a different device? A quick glance leads me to believe that they are compatbile with Windows 10, so I'd try plugging the device in there and seeing if you see the same pattern of disconnection.
That will help determine if the device is the issue, or if it's the console.

Do you know the latest firmware version for the PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller on the Xbox One console? I think that they updated a while ago and i am not sure whether i have the right version. My firmware is version 1.1.279.2 on console.
