    Xbox Overworked? Seizes up and shuts down. Help please.


    I have recently bought a used Xbox One S (the white one) I have never had this problem with any of my other Xbox One’s. If I try to scroll the the dashboard to fast, bring up the keyboard on screen, try to swap between apps and games, or basically do more
    than one input at a time my system freezes up and forces the console to shut down. I do not believe it is an overheating issue as the console is barely warm to the touch. Has anyone had a similar problem? My console does have the most up to date software update.

    How recently did you buy it? Was it new?

    Maybe try a hard reset by turning the console off by holding the power button for a full 10 seconds until its completely off. Unplug it for a minute and then try again.

    Generally speaking. I'd say no. I've spoken to a lot of developers and I'm friends with a few people who work in the industry. It has UPS and downs but never heard one say they're overworked. Work hard, yes. If anything underworked because a lot of studios
    seem to shut down.

    He might just be playing xbox to much and the ventilation is overworking its self he might just need to let it cool down.

    According to Microsoft, this error occurs if the Xbox Live servers are down and undergoing maintenance. Please try a complete shut down by holding the power button until the xbox shuts completely down. Then unplug the console from the wall outlet for a few minutes. Then plug power cord back in. Power your Xbox back up and try to update again.

    Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.
