    XBox Overlay (PC) Party Widget Transparency Issue


    I cross play Xbox with my buddies a lot and we often play with randoms who join our party. So, naturally I use the Xbox overlay to easily manage and view who is in the party and who is speaking. I used to have the Party widget pinned whenever I was in a party and had the transparency almost at 100%, but not enough so I couldn't read the names, just enough so that the blackbox around the names was mostly transparent. That way, I could still see through the party widget box.

    Lately though, I've noticed that the Party widget is no longer transparent when I have it pinned. I've messed around with the transparency settings; turned on/off the click-through option; terminated, repaired, reset the app; upgraded to Windows 11; inplace upgraded Windows 11 (because Microsoft suggested to do so) but still when I pin the Party widget the black box refuses to become transparent.

    All other widgets become transparent when I pin them and move the transparency slider around, except for the Party widget - that's the one widget that won't become transparent when I move the slider all the way up.

    It's made the widget less useful now since I no longer pin it and I'm not sure if this is a bug or feature.

    Any advice?

    PC xbox app: game bar audio bug

    I have the same issue. The workaround I'm using is to "pin" the Party Chat Game Bar widget. This way, the party chat stays visible when the rest of the Game Bar overlay disappears, and it keeps your mic active.

    I am having an issue where I join a party through Xbox game bar and my friends can hear me when I have the overlay up on my screen, but when I click out of the overlay my mic cuts off.

    I have the same issue. There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.

    Why cant my XBOX party hear me on PC unless Gamebar is open? my default devices settings are correct on both Xbox And Gamebar apps.
