Xbox overheating when playing a particular game

If your console seems to be overheating you could try to move it into an area where none of the fans are being block or the cables are being pinched or sat on by the console or anything else. Some overheating issues, even when running specific games, can
be easily solved or helped by ensuring the console has enough air circulating through it.

Sounds like the start of a fault with the console. If you still experience the same issue after powercycling please try a factory reset on the console to see if that helps. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload
them and your saves will be safe on the cloud.

If this still happens then you may want to consider sending the console in for repairs. You can set this up at
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com. Once set up and you have received your shipping label via email you can pack up the console.

Please be sure to send only the console and nothing else as Xbox does not guarantee that extra items such as cables or controllers will be returned.

Is this one particular game or any game? Sounds like overheating, does the Xbox get decent airflow around it?

In addition, there are those laptop coolers meant to help with this as well, figured that cant hurt much to try it also
