    Xbox overheating mistake?


    Whenever I turn my xbox 360 on it gives me the two red rings within one minute. I used to have it in a small cabinet but I recently moved it into a much more ventilated area. I know for a fact that it isn't overheating because it doesn't have a shell and
    I can feel all the actual parts. I have tried cleaning all of the dust out of it and nothing has worked so far.

    Looking at where you have your xbox, you don't have anywhere near enough space at the top and certainly not enough on the sides! No wonder it's overheating! Eeeekk

    I'm surprised your Sky box is also not overheating!!

    Your sky box vents via the sides so it's venting straight into your Xbox One making it even hotter than it is!

    Definitely a big mistake,the console needs as much ventilation as possible.

    If it hasn`t happened again then the console was definitely overheating,probably causing the problem.

    Smh so far i have heard of and know a few people who have had the same issue, all within the same time frame. Xbox knows this is an issue, just like the 360 did with its overheating problem. When mine overheated i was able to send that in well pass my warranty
    with no charge.

    I guess reporting to the BBB+ is the next move, bc times are too hard to be spending hard earned money on a so called "quality device", for Microsoft to not own up to it's mistakes and responsibly fix the problem.

    I will be pushing this issue.
