    xbox OS needs a mic volume for 3.5mm jack headphones with microphone


    i have logitech headphones with mic and i checked all menu on xbox about audio and there is no mic volume

    in partychat i need to raise my voice to be heard

    my logitech has noise cancel thing at mic,i think that's why they barely hear me if i talk normal

    xbox OS has headset volume like boosting the sound but not mic volume

    mic monitoring is to hear your own voice,not a mic volume to hear the others you voice louder

    Can I use a standard pair of headphones with a y splitter.

    I have a set of headphones which have a 3.5mm jack for audio and a separate 3.5mm jack for the mic. I have the latest xbox one controller with the 3.5mm jack. Can I simply just buy a y splitter for this to work. I understand the y splitter may need to be

    Technical Microphone adapter questions!!! Dedicated mic and headphones!

    Okay so, I have a question regarding the headset adapter for the Xbox one controller. I picked it up, and see that there is a standard 4 stage 3.5mm headphone jack (headphones and mic in one 3.5mm jack). I have a quite expensive blue bird xlr mic, as well
    as a pre-amp that can output to 3.5mm. So the question is, if I get a 3.5mm 4 stage splitter that will split the mic and the headphones into two 3 stage 3.5mm female inputs, will I be able to have my studio quality mic and dedicated headphones connected to
    my controller, working?

    Sorry for the complicated question! Hopefully it works, because a studio quality mic would be amazing! I figure it would since its a standard 3.5mm input

    Hi,

    I have been going through the settings. The only way u can change your mic vol. is in the brodcast settings. As that will only fix brodcasts. I highly recomend trying your headset on a diffrent OS before attempting to purchase a new headset,knowing that
    they can be rather expensive. I wish the best of luck to you and your mic!

    Microphone for Xbox one

    You would need a CTIA adapter that splits the controller plug into a headset component and the Microphone component. Something

    like this     for example.

    Then plug any stand up mic of your choice into the 3.5mm microphone plug.

    If you want a professional microphone with XLR plug, you would need an
    XLR to 3.5mm adapter    .

    A good audio microphone with 3.5mm jack would be the
    Rode Video Mic Pro    .

    Just be aware that USB microphones do NOT work on the Xbox One.

    Yes, to use microphone properly headphone jack needs to have 3 lines, will be nice test with a cable or headset with the 3 lines headphone jack <3.5mm>)
