    Xbox OS downloads seem to be failing?


    Is it just me or have the latest 2 updates for series X not applied for others? Download fails at about 3% or so. The first time this happened I had to wipe and rebuild the system. This one last night just required a re try and then some waiting and it picked up where it left off and seems to have applied ok.

    Anyone else seeing this behaviour?

    Games.do need to use drivers that's with ANY OS period

    You seem to fail to understand rhis

    It's not.the game.that has.drivers.but.the launcher

    The one thing that has worked with any consistency is the actual hardware in the system. It's the software that keeps failing me. The OS, bugs in games.....and well, what ever seems to always go on server side with MS that causes XBL to act up if not go
    down.

    360 Slim 250GB making weird grinding noise at startup

    Almost certainly the fan in that case. HDDs don't make noise until they're moments from failing and knowing how finicky the xbox os is about drive integrity, it would probably fail to start anyway.

    If it's any consolation it may go a very long time before it fails altogether.
