    Xbox Originals Game Data


    I’m trying to transfer my game save for Fatal Frame II (an Xbox Original game) off of my Xbox 360. I plugged my flash drive in and then went to System > Storage > Hard Drive > Transfer Content. When I do this I’m able to transfer the game saves for my Xbox
    360 games, but the category Xbox Originals Game Data (where Fatal Frame II is at) is grayed out and won’t let me select any titles. Is there any possible way for me to collect my game save so I don’t lose my progress?

    Using data transfer cables

    Hi! Xbox Originals Game Data :D



    1. The Data Transfer Kit will transfer content from Original Xbox 360 to Original Xbox 360, or from Original Xbox 360 to Xbox 360 S. Xbox Originals Game Data :)

    2. The data is moved, not copied, so the content will not remain on the source drive.

    3. All data will be transferred.

    Only certain original Xbox games are backwards compatible. You can find the list of supported games

    here    .



    Also, ensure that you are using an official Xbox Hard Drive (not a third party one), as there is a partition on the official drives that contains some emulation data required to play original Xbox games.

    Thanks for the tip. However, I do have some games that are Xbox360 or original Xbox backwards compatible, which likely use saved data. Would the data for these be stored on the cloud, or could I recover the data if they aren't?

    I would love to see that, but some are impossible as some of the Xbox original games had a save only data with no copy.
