Xbox Original "This game couldn't start"

I'm trying to get Metal Arms: Glitch in the System which is a downloaded Xbox Original to play but it has been giving me the "This game couldn't start" error for about a day now. I have looked at the support page and tried everything listed and then some
but to no avail. I have played it before on my current Xbox with my current hard drive but now it will not work. Can someone help me or at least give me an idea of what could be wrong without pointing me to the support page I just came from?

Original Xbox Game not Working

Hello, I recently bought this hard drive ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ASJLYWG/ref=pe_217191_31005151_3p_M3_dp_1 ) to expand my 4GB console and to play some of the original Xbox games. However, when I went to put in Grabbed by the Ghoulies, which is
a supported original game, I get this error: "The game couldn't start. try downloading the game again." I tried clearing the cache and reformatting, but still no luck. I am beginning to think that this could be a counterfeit drives (probably is seeing how
it was 30 quid cheaper) Could someone help me out please? Leon

Halo: combat evolved won't launch

Hello, I bought The original Halo: Combat Evolved on the xbox 360 digital store. When I'm done downloading it and i launch the game a error message comes up saying " The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again.". Since then I have downloaded
the game six times and downloaded my account twice to no avail. So, what do I do?

only thing I can think of is the 360 you are trying to play it on does not have a legit 1st party MS brand hard drive in it or on it.

that game could of had it try other xbox original games or try the disc in another xbox

just so its clear when i tried other Xbox original games they were discs not downloaded and they still came up with "the game couldn't start. try downloading again".

1st of all not all original Xbox games are compatible with the Xbox 360 here is a list of the ones that are support.xbox.com/en-gb/pages/xbox-360/how-to/play-original-games.aspx and with the problem of the "error the game couldn't start" message try this

ya, i get this error message: "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again", but the fun is that the original dvd is in the tray!!!

I tried to play a hard copy that i bought of "The Simpsons Hit and Run," and it told me "The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again." I think that it may be all Xbox original games and not just San Andreas.
