Xbox Original Games Achievements?

Hello!

I have been thinking about the Xbox Original backwards compability on the Xbox One since the announcement on E3. It would be really nice if Microsoft or the game developers could add Achievements to the titles that will roll out! My gamecollection consists
of hundreds of Xbox Original games. Thanks / Johnny

its an original xbox game and wont work on my 360

how would i know if i have a MS HDD some my old original xbox games work some dont

You only need the offical hard drive and for the game you want to play to be backward compatible.

 

It'd be cool, but I can't see them doing it.

 

They've already said there wont be achievements due to technical reasons.

Phil Spencer has said if they can find an easier way to add them then they might but at the moment there wont be achievements.

 

Psn gave trophies for ps2 games on ps4. There is a huge catch though, you have to pay for it and you can't just insert disc and go from there. I like what MS is doing here, so imo it's not that big a deal.

 

BC is one area where xbox shines, we'll have to wait and see if OG games discs will 100% download after all these years, or if age has clouded them enough to be unreadable in certain areas of the game on newer optical drives. (yes, even well stored discs
will develope clouded spots, even music cd's over time.)

However, if the game dl's 100% from the net and not directly from the disc. You won't miss any of the action.

I never liked braggadocios, "Yeh me, I a have 20k GS" achievements or trophies anyway.

 

We managed perfectly well without achievements before the 360 came out.

If the recent re release of Crash Bandicoot is anything to go by I suspect the biggest moan will be that these old games are to hard from people who never played them first time around.

Bring on some Ninja Gaiden goodness

 

Oh yeah, I have Ninja Gaiden black on Disc for xb. Recently Played on PS Vita, classic example of game vs graphics.

 

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Play games for the fun of playing games. ENOUGH with achievements for flushing the toilet mentality already! If you want more gamerscore, play more games, but LEAVE MY ORIGINAL XBOX GAMES ALONE!

 

I definitely agree with you there I'd be happy to play XO Games and earn achievements, That has a huge reply value on a lot of games and for this it be perfect.
