Xbox Original game STILL WON'T PLAY

So I've been trying to play The Urbz (which is an Xbox original game, but it's listed as a backward compatible game so it should be okay) on my Xbox 360 Phat. This is a banned Xbox. The game is a (second hand) store-bought game disk.

So I looked in the other posts regarding this issue and this is what I did:

Got myself an official Xbox 60 GB Harddrive

Got the latest updates (downloaded via USB)

Reset the HD

Plugged an ethernet cable into my Xbox to find any updates

It still gives me the

"This original xbox game is not supported on your xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info,go to
www.xbox.com/games."

I can't think of any way to fix this?

Trouble playing original xbox games

We bought an xbox 360 for Christmas 2012. We still want to play our original xbox games, but realized we needed to purchase a hard drive. We now have a 320 GB hard drive that uses a transfer cable, but our original xbox games still won't play. We've updated
our 360 and have tried several different games. We continue to get the same message: "You need to attach an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play original Xbox games. For more info, visit www.xbox.xom/games"

We're not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

XBOX 360 Won't Play Original XBOX games

I have an XBOX 360 e, and I own two original XBOX games: The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and NHL 2004. I have played both of these games on other XBOX 360's before and they are both in working condition and ARE backwards compatible.

My XBOX is fully updated and I have a genuine Microsoft hard drive.

How can I fix this?

To be able to play an original game you should be able to get online. Xbox Live functionality for original Xbox games has been discontinued. You can, however, set up a system link between original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles:

support.xbox.com/.../connect-system-link-play

Since your console is banned you can't use this feature thus you can't play the Original Xbox game.

Both of the warranty seals are still there then and I just reupdated my 360 with the cd again and it still won't play my original games.

I have a Microsoft Xbox hard drive in my Xbox it is a 260 or how ever large the big one is and it still won't let me play my Xbox original game why is that

I copied everything I needed over to a flashdrive and formatted my harddrive and it still won't play my original games.

Originals will still work, but you won't be able to play them on xbox live since the service was withdrawn from the old xbox.

Honestly some Xbox original games can be played via xbox 360 if you have Xbox live, Here is the resource for where i found the information

support.xbox.com/.../play-original-games and also a list of Xbox games you can play on Xbox 360. Press CTRL+F to find the game your looking for faster.

Now concluding the fact you want to make a original Xbox game a Xbox 360 game i don't think Microsoft will actually do that... Unless the game developer decides to re-make the game itself. Which i am quite sure they won't do.

But still try to play the original game on the Xbox 360 and look at the list in the link i gave above to see if you find a game you'd like to play on the Xbox 360 that is a xbox original.
