Xbox original console - adding a profile offline

Good day,

I have an xbox original console (not a xbox 360 or xbox one; the 1st xbox to come out in 2001) and need to install a profile offline. Unfortunately, since xbox live ceased in 2006 I cannnot do so via ethernet cable.

Does anyone have a solution?

Lips 5 extra DLC songs

Hi

I got the GF lips with 2 mics for xmas.

it comes with a code to download 5 extra songs of her choice.

The snag is, the console she will be playing it on cannot go online. However, if i stick a memory card in my online machine and download the songs on my xbox, will these then run on the offline machine, when signed into the account (offline) the songs were purchased on, or, will it work the same way as arcade games in that if it is not on the console the data was originally downloaded to, then the profile will have to be signed into live to work?

Achievements

No.

If you wish to play a game without any of it's achievements adding to your profile, the best they to do would be to create a secondary offline profile on your console, and use it for those games.

Since they discontinued Xbox Live on the original Xbox long ago (~2010), it shouldn't be able to connect to Xbox Live at all, especially when the console is connected to a working internet connection.

Last I remember, the original Xbox didn't really require you sign into a profile to play games, manage saved games, and adjust other settings. It was just ready to go once you turn it on.

Why are you trying to "install a profile"? I'm just a little curious.

I think it may be more of a force of habit of everything being tied to my profile.

I am worried any gameplay completed would not reflect on my account as when I access the memory, it shows the previous owner's account. If I delete his, can I still play? additionally, can I also still play with multiple controllers?

The original Xbox did not have achievements or other gameplay tracking features that shows up on your current MS/Xbox profile, if that's what this is all about.

All of that online profile stuff didn't take off until the Xbox 360 was released back in late 2005.

The saved games still in the console's storage are pretty much free-grabs to anybody using the console. The games don't check in with XBL to validate ownership of save files, among other things.

Have you removed the profile with the original email from the console and added it back with the new email?

When you purchase content from Xbox LIVE Marketplace, that content is licensed to your profile and to the console

you originally downloaded it to.

Your profile license lets you use the content on any console, as long as you're signed in to Xbob LIVE with that profile.

Your console license lets anyone use the content offline, but only on that console.

If you get a new or replacement console, and you want to play your downloadable content offline, you'll

need to transfer your console license to your new console.
