Xbox Original Avatars not showing properly

Make sure you are using the Xbox original Avatar app, and not the new one otherwise the avatar will not show up on your Xbox 360.

I was able to get to an Xbox and log in with my Live account. When I did that, I was able to change my Gamer Picture as well as go to edit my avatar. When I saved it on the Xbox, the avatar started to show properly. It now loads in games and in friends lists.

I suppose the fix was using the Xbox? Once I selected "Save Changes" on the Xbox during the Avatar edits, it started to load properly. I did not have to make any changes on the live.xbox.com site, but thank you for the suggestion!

It might be because you need the new style of avatar for some clothes

However, if you want to continue using your existing avatar and any of the content you’ve purchased or been awarded for it, you can do that in the

Xbox Original Avatars app.

Deck out your Xbox Original Avatar, and then import it to take the place of your gamerpic or new avatar.
To import your original avatar:

1. Launch the Xbox Avatar Editor app.
2. Select Xbox Original Avatar, then choose your original avatar.
3. Select Import.

Give it a few seconds, and voil ! Your Xbox Original Avatar once again represents you across Xbox.

Update: I restarted the console and logged into the new profile, and all the changes I made are now showing on the new avatar.

However, after logging back into my original profile, and toggling the "Show my avatar" checkbox under Customize Profile from on, to off, to back on again, I'm showing another random avatar.
